Pre-order the P85D. I always thinks buying cars without test driving it first is a stupid idea. But seriously, mrs Aya is loving the concept of not actually paying for gas anymore. What do you think?

do it! I adore the model S. I'd buy one myself if I had a garage I would be able to charge it in.

Do it.
If you're in the market for a new $100k sedan, it's without a doubt the best one.

I would say test drive a regular Model S and see if you like that or not. I sat in a Model S in their showroom a few weeks back and the thing was huge. The inside space is nice and cozy but I could not imagine driving it. The dash is quite high up and so you have to guess where the hood ends (I am only 5'8" though so take that with a grain of salt). On the upside though, you can see the front wheel arches so you'll know where the wheels are. Also, people in the back will have leg room but the actual height of the floor is really high compared to a normal car because of the batteries. That means they they'll have to either move their legs forward or keep their knees fully bent during the entire ride.

With gas being so cheap where you are it hardly seems worth it from a financial standpoint. Don't get me wrong I LOVE the Tesla.
But getting it with the idea that you'll never have to buy gas seems silly. You buy it because it's an awesome car.
If you were paying 5-6 bucks a liter like in europe then for sure it would probably be a great idea.

I'm barely taller than you.
And nope, in Indonesia there's only the P85 and the P85D, and no model to test until at least their launch it here at Febuary 23rd.

Well, at least that the girl thinks.
For me...
I want the P85D because it has 691hp for 195k USD. And in here, it's quite a bargain since 195k is what you pay for BMW M5 in here. In fact, i kinda also worried letting a small girl like her in charge of 691hp 4-door saloon that accelerate like a time travel.

Wow really? For some reason I thought they would at least let you sit in one as they are taking pre-orders.

I had a garage, so that's not a problem.
But if i could i rather park it in my living room and adore it.

Well, the story was, because Tesla hasn't actually ship any cars here, they only opens the pre-order now.
But that said, rumors are at least they have quite a lot of interest here.

Ah, got it. I just saw your other post saying it was an importer bringing them over. That makes more sense now.

Isn't gas like 23 cents a litre in Indonesia? I thought the govt subsidised it massively, although joko was cutting them back a bit.

Yes it was.
But, electrics are even cheaper. I think it'll cost less than 2 litre of fuel to fill the Model S to full charge.

Test drove a P85+...it's terrific to drive.

I think I'm jealous.
That, and when you get it, you should take me for a ride.

No, just thinking of doing it. Not actually get it though.

Ah. Well, if you do decide to go with it...

It has an insane mode.
This automatically justifies any purchase ever.
